maybe ally...sees "The Heart of Rock and Roll”.

I always get a little sad talking about a show that closed (way too early I may add). I still wanted to share all the fun I had when I got to see it. I keep coming back to that word — fun. What is it about spaces that seem so stiff about fun? I loved this show. I loved its high energy and with a soundtrack full of Huey Lewis & the News…it was just so fun. We've gotta learn to have some more fun.

Our story takes us to a cardboard factory and with Bobby. A guy who wants to succeed in this world and has to figure out which direction to go in for that success. The corporate ladder or with his passion — music. So which dream is he picking? If love was involved (and it is) I think you already know…sorta.

Corey Scott shined so bright here. He was easily my favorite person on that stage the entire time. It's like a flashback in time to the 80’s. The vibrant colors, the crimped hair, all that neon. A spectacle. Just so fun.

Too often originals are the first to go. There are so many factors as to why. This one needed time to keep building a fanbase and they didn't get it. I hate that. Truly. This was a special one. I sincerely hope they find a way to either tour the show or license it out so schools can put on this production. I think it'll do well at either or both truly.
