My Favorite Makeup Brands.
Now a days I don’t wear a ton of makeup. However when I get photos in outfits I’ve been known to wear quite a bit. I’m also getting older and realizing my skincare is more important. I firmly believe that good skincare means less makeup. If you’re looking for some amazing skincare options read my previous post here.
So what are my basics? I always need a red lip. I always need a dark eye brow and I always love a good eye liner. Maybe a little creme blush as well but the red lip is most important. It makes a statement. Plus it gets people to look at my lips which I always love.
In the fall I definitely wear it more but in the summer it’s always so light. I usually aim for more of a dewy face rather than caked on makeup. I really hate sweating in makeup. Everything gets runny and gross — no thanks. In this blog post i’ll go over a few brands I really love and a few things I buy from each. I’ve linked as much as I could so happy shopping!
M.A.C. Cosmetics:
A tried & true classic M.A.C. is. I feel like i’ve been using various products from them since I was I high school really. My number one product is always the lipsticks. I love a red from M.A.C.! Here are the two I wear the most:
They have the best reds by far. I’ve been wearing the shade since High School and every single time I try to find a red in a new brand I run back because these are just too good!
Sephora Collection:
I love Sephora Collection! Sephora brand is always on the affordable side.m They don’t cheaper the product either. You’re getting quality stuff for what you pay. It’s a step up from drugstore staples too (nothing wrong with those either!). Here’s what I use the most with Sephora Collection:
Look at those prices! Honestly I can’t go wrong with Sephora Collection and thats the biggest reason why. The concealer is amazing and truly does feel like a second skin. It blends well and never feels cakey. It’s my go-to.
Colour Pop Cosmetics:
A favorite of mine because of all the collabs (most disney!) I love the lip tints and eye shadows the most. When they had an Animal Crossing collab I just about died! I bought almost everything. It was incredible. Below are a few favorites. That shadow stick set I use when I go out mostly. Most times the lip tints in more neutral shades are what I end up doing.
