Happy Mother’s Day.

To every single mama out there who works so hard to give their children a worthy life. To all of those who struggle with today whether it's because you no longer have your mom around (like myself), the relationship is hard or if you've struggled with becoming a mom — I celebrate all of you today.

To my mother. I miss you so much. You know, today I'd be prepping a card, some flowers, and taking you on a girl's date. We’d see a show or stay home cause you wouldn't wanna be outside. I'd cook for you or we'd order. It felt like any normal day truly. So today I take it easy. Just like you would. I miss doing all those mundane things with you. I miss calling you. You would have loved the past 4 months. They have been so wild! A fun story. A fun life. Just how you would have liked it.

It’s my first Mother’s Day without you here to hug and kiss. It's a new world I'm still getting used to. You made me so strong and so I can take it (I think!). You made sure I was as prepared for this life as I could be. You raised a warrior because you saw what was out there and decided your daughter deserved more. I am the woman I am because you made me.

You are a mom to so many. We all miss you and hold you in our hearts today & every day. Thank you Mom for playing such an important role in so many lives. They will celebrate you in their ways. Make sure you watch over them as well.
