Detachment Spell aka Cord Cutting.

Why you use it: To break a connection with an energy (usually a person) that no longer serves you or brings value to your life.
What you’ll need:
- Black Candle
- White Candle
- Yarn/Twine (to bind candles)
- Black Salt
- White Salt
- Incense
- Pen
What to Do:
1: Use pen to carve your name into the white candle, your persons name into the black
2: Bind candles with twine
3: Use black & white salt around your candles to help boost your spell
4: Use Incense to cleanse your space first and then light your candles
5: Repeat these words:
“I now sever and release any and all energetic cords that do not serve my highest good. I release you and I release me from these binds.“ (3x times).
I did this spell early in the year to detach from someone. I want to say one thing before I get into it. Spells sometimes take time and what you see in entertainment simply isn’t true most times. What this spell did was tell me a story of how my situation with this person will go (however long it takes). With that knowledge I can decide how much energy to put into that relationship. It was quite shocking to see the black candle (that had their name carved into it) refuse to let the white candle (my name) die. The connection stays because they deem it so in one way or another. While we all have free will I won’t deny what I saw here.
The connection lives on for a while and so I have to decide how much effort and energy it gets from me for as long as it needs to. It was nice to see that eventually I will have enough and simply burn out while they stay lit up.
Reading candles is fascinating. I’m still learning it and so I had a friend who is also a witch look this over and go over with me what I was looking at.
