⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡ | I've been listening! Mary Jane’s, satin long skirts…trust me I read about what's “trending” and if I got it I'll spin it. That's my motto always. Today's outfit felt witchy in the best way. Found a choker I'd been looking for for a long time now and I was so happy I put it on quickly! Might change the pendant I'm not sure yet.

As always comfort is the main goal. Whenever I put anything together it's for that foremost. I like taking pretty long walks so the flat Mary Janes were a must. I love that they are suede. Can't wait to wear them more as it gets colder.

there's something about september in new york city that makes me want to get dressed again.

august is all about surviving the heat and squeezing every last bit of summer out of the city. september feels different. suddenly the mornings are a little cooler, the sidewalks feel a little busier, and everyone seems to be returning to their routines.

and honestly? i love it.

You know the ones. The outfits that make getting dressed easy because you already know they work. The ones you reach for when you're running out for coffee, heading downtown, meeting a friend, spending the afternoon wandering around New York, or just want to feel a little more put together without actually putting that much effort in.

Wardrobe Staples for NYC Women in Their 30s.

There’s something about getting dressed in New York City that makes you rethink your entire wardrobe.

You can leave your apartment in the morning for a coffee run and somehow end up walking three miles, sitting in a café for two hours, running errands, meeting a friend for dinner, and making an impromptu stop somewhere you’ve never been before. Your clothes have to keep up with you.

And honestly? I think getting older has changed the way I think about getting dressed, too.

In my 20s, I was much more willing to buy something simply because I thought it was cute. These days, I want my clothes to be cute and comfortable. I want pieces that can be worn five different ways, shoes I can actually walk in, and a wardrobe that makes getting dressed feel easier instead of more complicated.
