What I Wore in New Orleans.
I brought very little with me to the vibrant city of New Orleans. It was certainly out of the norm for me, as I usually pack heavy for trips, bringing an array of choices along. However, considering the city's notorious humidity, I opted for lighter clothing and breathable fabrics to help me avoid sweating too much on those particularly hot and bustling days. Luckily, the trip was scheduled for March, so while it was indeed hot, it still felt pleasantly cool at times, especially in the mornings and evenings. We even experienced a day of rain, which provided a refreshing break from the heat and helped greatly, even if it meant darting back to our hotel room for a few hours to wait out the downpour.
So, I decided to go with cotton and linen, two of the best fabrics for the trip due to their breathability and comfort. I also made sure to bring along one cozy sweater with me as well, just in case any of the nights turned out to be a little chilly.
Sometimes I Went More Casual:
Some days, you simply need to embrace the comfort of jeans and a T-shirt. That particular day happened to be day three of my trip. By then, I had been walking, eating, and drinking my way through various experiences for several days, and our agenda for the day consisted of, well, not much of anything at all. It felt like a perfect opportunity to relax my clothing choices a bit, so I went for a laid-back look. My DVF X Target shirt paired effortlessly with my Old Navy jeans, creating the ideal combination for a casual day out. To complete the ensemble, I slipped on my trusty TOMS, and just like that—boom! I had a stylish yet comfortable outfit ready to go.
In the end, I found myself genuinely happy and satisfied with my style choices throughout the trip. I made it a priority to be relaxed in my looks while also ensuring that I appeared polished and put together. Being comfortable in my body was equally important, as I aimed to strike a balance that allowed me to feel good from the inside out, ensuring that I could truly look my best. After all, feeling good and looking good are inherently interconnected and go hand in hand. I would love to hear your thoughts on my outfits!
