Travel: New Orleans - 2.0
Are you subscribed to my newsletter? If you are, then you likely know that this much-anticipated post was coming your way! I recently returned to New Orleans, a city filled with vibrant culture and unforgettable experiences! I spent the 23rd to the 27th in heaven.
The vibrant and welcoming people of this amazing and lively place instantly captivated me the very first time I laid my eyes on the enchanting streets of New Orleans last year. I adored the incredible food that seemed to burst with flavor, enticing my taste buds with every single delectable bite that I took. I fell head over heels in love with the rich and diverse culture that permeates every corner of the city like an inviting and melodious tune. I loved it so much that when Armand and I had the chance to revisit, we excitedly decided to go again without a second thought.
I cherished the unique spirit that enveloped me, which felt like a warm embrace during my previous visit. New Orleans provided me with the much-needed respite I had been lacking since my beloved mother passed away, offering me a genuine refresh in life and a wonderful opportunity to focus on living anew.
For just a little while, I was finally able to set aside all of my troubles, allowing myself to embrace love, kindness, and, of course, those delicious beignets that have become a sweet symbol of this incredible city! I’m truly delighted that I had the opportunity to return to a destination I love so deeply and to explore so many new experiences in the process. New Orleans opened my heart and showed me all sorts of love in the most unexpected ways, leaving a lasting imprint on my soul.
There's something undeniably captivating about the vibrant energy of this remarkable place that has always drawn me in like a moth to a flame. From the jazz-filled streets of the iconic French Quarter to the delectable, mouth-watering beignets at the famous Cafe du Monde, I loved fully immersing myself in all the incredible sights, enchanting sounds, and rich flavors that NOLA has to offer.

Shopping:
I truly enjoyed the shopping experience this time around. With no wedding to attend this season, there was much more time to leisurely explore the vibrant streets, so we did just that. I mainly focused on wandering through various charming bookstores, but I also made sure to visit a few intriguing magic shops and, of course, some captivating voodoo shops as well. Although I didn’t manage to thrift like I had initially wanted to, I promised myself that next time, I absolutely must visit Trashy Diva. Amidst all the exploration, I did grab at least one book — a fascinating memoir by the iconic Grace Jones, which I cannot wait to dive into.
Next visit, I think I’ll focus more on clothing and fashion-related experiences. Every time I’m there, it seems like it’s all about indulging in the delicious food and enjoying the vibrant drinks. I truly want to immerse myself in the local culture next time and explore a trendy clothing shop or perhaps even a charming hat shop. It would be nice to discover unique pieces that reflect the essence of the city.
In the end, New Orleans filled me with an overwhelming sense of joy, love, and amazing food, just as it always does. I departed feeling completely refreshed and exhilarated, ready to embrace whatever the world has in store for me. I sincerely adore this vibrant city, and I can hardly wait to return for a third time to experience all its wonders once again.
