TRAVEL: LONDON

I mean it when I say that. London really did change my life. The thing is that I don’t know if it’s for the good or bad yet. It remains to be seen whether or not my world spins around because of it. For context, I’d been trying to convince myself to leave New York City for some time, and while I always dreamt of San Francisco I found London to be a very close second. This trip decided me that I’d love to live there one day.

We got to London on the 16th. I was still recovering from a cold I caught in Paris so I wasn’t in the best of shape. That first night we didn’t do much of anything. We woke up the next day and I realized what a blessing it was that I didn’t plan much in London. I was able to relax. We got to see Buckingham Palace & did some shopping. Luckily by the 18th, I was feeling up for traveling and so we went to Harrod’s & the Tiffany Blue Box Cafe to celebrate the Honeymoon (finally!).

Naturally, we had to go to the West End and catch a show. The Show of choice? Back to the Future: The Musical. It was insane. It was phenomenal. I can’t wait for it to get to Broadway so I can see it again. Grab tickets to see it in NY. I promise you that you’ll love it, especially if you're a film fan. That day we also saw the Tower Bridge, the London Eye & more landmarks. I had energy and wanted to take advantage of that while I had it.

We went to places like Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese for incredible food and went to Piccadilly Circus to check out that massive billboard with all the screens. As we got closer to the end of our trip I found myself getting used to the time change, I was learning the Underground really easily and it was starting to feel like home. I truly can picture it one day. Maybe I need a reason, maybe I don’t? either way, I’d love to be here for a few years one day.
