maybe ally…sees “Here We Are”

It took me a few days to collect my thoughts on this one. Then my world stopped so I didn't get the chance to post about it. I won a lottery in December to see this unique piece of work. The final musical by Stephen Sondheim. It's directed by one of my favorite people Joe Mantello. This piece is creative. It's funny. It's stunning visually. I enjoyed it.

The Cast includes more of my favorite people! Bobby Cannavale! Micaela Diamond (who I so wanted to see in Parade but didn't have the chance!) Rachel Bay Jones! Denis O’Hare! Steven Pasquale (how tempted am I to throw a Rescue Me joke in here) & David Hyde Pierce! I'd name everyone if I could but this caption would get so much longer! Every single person in the cast knows what this piece is & gives it the respect it deserves.

You've got a couple more weeks to catch @herewearemusical so if you get the chance do so. If not for this cast do it to be in this space! The Shed is one of my favorite places in New York City. It's a magnificent performing arts & gallery space. A true architectural feat. @theshedny ✨

This show wrapped up my 2023 whirlwind of theatre. I saw a lot of shows. I'll do the same this year. This time for my mommy.
