maybe ally…sees “A Beautiful Noise”.
First show of the year for me. This one was more sentimental than any I've seen before. You see before my mom passed away she’d been eyeing A Beautiful Noise as her next trip to Broadway. She had me doing lotteries while she figured out the best time to see it. Sadly, in her physical form, she didn't get to see it but I won the lottery. I gathered up all the strength in me and I went to see @abeautifulnoisemusical last night. Front row no less and I did it for my momma. Honestly, she probably had the best seat in the house from up above who are we kidding?
By chance, it was also @ambernicoleardolino’s debut as Marcia Murphy & it was so crazy to see the number of people in the audience going insane (me included) anytime she was on stage. Amber girl, you were fantastic. Cheers to you & congratulations 🎉. The energy in that room for her was palpable. The girls got extreme star power beyond social media and even theatre. Just wait.
Being front row had its perks. The best was @nickfradiani grabbing my hands at one point (yes I washed them despite not wanting to!). I can't remember the last time I was so close to a company like that. So very intimate at many points. It felt like I was in the show.
Mostly, what I take with me is how much my mom would have loved this piece. The song choices were perfect (yes I know a Neil Diamond catalog the man is from Brooklyn!) the way the story of his life was told was well done. It was moving. Especially that ending. My emotions are high but I couldn't help shedding a tear by the end. It was a happy one. Mom saw that show last night through me. It is an honor to keep her love of musicals alive through me. I'm happy I started my year off with one she so wanted to see. I'm pretty sure my mom would have grabbed Nick’s hands first now that I think about it. Zero shame in her. I'll miss that so much.
That entire company deserves all the praise. What a special night for so many.
With that, we are in full swing. Can't wait to experience more shows throughout the year & tell you why I love them!
Happy to do it.
