Look at it this way, it’s gonna be a HOT summer and you’re gonna need the protection. It’s no secret that each summer seems to be getting worse and that we’ve got to do the best we can to counteract the sun while outside. Seeing as outside is the best place to be (thanks to covid!) you want the protection for those picnics, park days & walks around the city.

Straw is always a good way to go. It’s breathable and light and if you grab the right kind (think raffia) you can sweat a little and still maintain the hat shape with no problem. I highly recommend heading to a hat shop so they can give you a good run down of the best types of straw.

Ultimately the wider the brim the more protection so women tend to wear wider more feminine sizes (straw cloche, straw wide brim cloche) while men love styles that are more masculine (think cowboy hats, fedoras, etc…)
