The Orchid Show: Mexican Modernism at NYBG

Visit The Bronx for The Orchid Show: Mexican Modernism at the New York Botanical Garden. This colorful flower exhibition features flowing waterfalls and thousands of orchids, creating a tropical getaway. This year's show, located in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, is inspired by the art of Mexican architect Luis Barragán. As you explore, you'll discover the artist's ideas while walking through peaceful areas, minimalist designs, and interesting details.

Joan Didion archive at the New York Public Library:

A few years ago, the New York Public Library bought the archives of Joan Didion and John Gregory Dunne. They announced that once organized, the collection would be open to anyone with a library card at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on Fifth Avenue. Now, it's happening—on March 26, the library will make the 336 boxes of the archive available to the public.

To start Women’s History Month, top chefs like Tracy Chang from PAGU in Boston, Cristina Martinez from South Philly Barbacoa in Philadelphia, and pastry chef Ilma Lopez from Cheval and Ugly Duckling Maine will host a special dinner called "Dinner: Amplifying the Voices of Women Chefs." The event is on Saturday, March 1, at Platform by the James Beard Foundation. This dinner highlights the creativity and strength of women in the food industry, featuring a menu that reflects their unique cultures and cooking styles.
